Yes, Shepherd turned 2 about six weeks ago and I'm finally getting around to posting some pictures! I remember the days when we would do something or go somewhere one afternoon and I would upload my blog that same night. I wish I could still be that motivated or have that much free time, but life has definitely gotten busier!
Andrew took Shep for his 2 year well-check at the end of April, and Shepherd wanted no part of it! The doctor barely got his height and weight, and Shep refused to let them measure his head. I don't even remember exact numbers now, but I know he was in the 90th percentile for his height and the 50th for his weight. I need to schedule an appointment for a couple of immunizations he is due for, but other than that he's good to go!

This boy loves anything he can climb, even a huge pile of gravel!
Since Shep's birthday fell on a Monday this year, we celebrated with a little ice cream party the day before when we didn't have to work around work/school schedules. We bought some ice cream and a variety of toppings, invited our fellow campground friends, and met in the pavilion after dinner. It was super low key and nice to just visit with friends while the kids could run and play.
As Andrew finished weed-eating one afternoon, Shepherd wanted to "help Daddy". He put on the noise cancelling headphones and tried so hard to lift the trimmer up off of the ground.
Andrew was checking my oil one day and Shep backed himself under my car to work on it too.

Our friend Denise made Shep a birthday cake like she has done for each of us. Since we had an ice cream party the day before, we ate the cake on his real birthday.
Cheese! I'm 2!
New words and expressions:
Where ______ go? (Where Daddy go? Where Mama go? Where Ry-Ry go? etc.)
Yeah right! or Right, right, right. He doesn't say this sarcastically, but as a response if we tell him something that he agrees with or if he wants us to agree with him.
