Grandad's Bluff

On Friday we headed up to Grandad's Bluff so the kiddos could look out over LaCrosse and see what it feels like to be on a "mini-mountain". They only know the Florida coastline, so this bluff seemed huge to them! We watched some golfers on the golf course below who looked like the size of ants, and we even got to see a train go by.

While Grandma and Grandpa took the kiddos to lunch and a playground, Andrew and I snuck off on our own to have lunch and walk around downtown. Andrew wanted to take a couple of pictures of the Oktoberfest fairgrounds, and he admitted the buildings are a little spooky when there aren't thousands of people milling around!

My parents also drove Ryder and Harper across the bridge into Minnesota just so they could add that state to their list of states visited this vacation!
