A new addition

No, no, no--the baby has not arrived yet! For several months now, Andrew has been keeping his eyes peeled for a gently used automobile that actually has a back seat. His truck doesn't, so my car would be the only one we could use to transport the baby anywhere. Since we're keeping the cars we already have, we needed to find something super affordable. After doing lots of research and some great negotiating, he brought home this '99 Chevy Suburban yesterday.

It's in excellent condition and has more bells and whistles than any car we've ever had! I especially like the heated seats. Except I didn't realize at first that we had this option, so when Andrew took me for a ride around the block last night and the seat grew warmer, I thought I had wet my pants. And this wouldn't have been outside the realm of possibility at this stage in my pregnancy! :)

Andrew already installed a car seat base. According to our tracking information, the car seat should be here tomorrow! And, as Andrew has reminded me, this means the baby could come as early as the 18th because we will have a way to bring him home.

Here's a view from the front seat looking back. There is so much room it is incredible! It's definitely a gas guzzler though (with a 454 V8 and 44 gallon gas tank!!), so it will mainly be used on the weekends for trips around town and then our annual summer beach vacation.

Here I am at 35 weeks/1 day, feeling about as big as the Suburban! :)
