Everything AND the kitchen sink

We've officially said goodbye to the Tummy Tub. :( It served its purpose well and made Ryder's bath time a pleasant experience, but he's simply outgrown it. Just putting him in the bucket became an ordeal because he would rather stand up; and who wants to be squished and folded in half, knees pressed against their shoulders? Not exactly a comfortable, relaxing position! Since he can't sit up on his own quite yet, bathing him in the regular bath tub is still too much of a hassle and definitely requires two people. This isn't always possible since Andrew leaves for work at about the same time Ryder's ready for his bath each night. Next option? The kitchen sink! Andrew and I both have childhood memories of taking baths in the kitchen sink, so we thought we'd pass the "tradition" on to Ryder. This does require a bit of planning because Ryder won't fit in the sink if it's filled with our dirty dinner dishes. This motivates me to get the kitchen cleaned up right away! We tried this new bath routine the other night when Grann was still here, and it worked beautifully! I can easily give him his bath by myself, and he seems to enjoy the change of scenery and playing with the soap dispenser. (Fortunately we don't use the one built-in to the sink, so he can play with the pump all day long and nothing will happen because it's never been hooked up!)
