Ryder's 2-year checkup

This was the appointment I had been waiting for! Except for that one week in January, Ryder has been an extremely healthy little guy, meaning no trips to the doctor for a head-to-toe checkup. His last well-visit was in August, which seems like a lifetime ago! I was very curious to see how much he had grown over the past 6 months because he looks so much older now than in the pictures we took of him over the summer. The appointment was yesterday afternoon, and we decided it would be simpler if Andrew took Ryder so that I could pick Harper up after work and head straight home to keep her on her feeding schedule. Andrew said Ryder was great in the waiting room, pointing out all of the colorful fish in the aquarium and "visiting" with the other two babies who were there with their Mommies. In fact, Ryder was having so much fun in the waiting room that he had a meltdown when he was called back to the exam room. He screamed through the entire appointment, and it didn't help that he also had to get a shot. Andrew said that even the Cars band-aid was little consolation this time! Fortunately it was a quick appointment because we didn't have any questions or concerns for the doctor, and she could tell that Ryder is a very "normal" 2-year old who wants to do things on his own terms. :)

Height: 37 1/4 inches (up 3 inches)
Weight: 33 pounds (up 4 pounds)
Head circumference: 50 cm. (up 1 cm.)
