Nana, a pirate, and a jungle

Ryder loves to play on the putting green outside at Nana's nursing home.

hugs for Nana

and a kiss too!

After visiting Nana, we headed over to yet another playground! This one is set up as one big pirate ship, so Grann came prepared with a couple of accessories to help Ryder fit right in.

Pirate Ryder!

On Saturday we spent the morning at Sarasota Jungle Garden. The last time we were there Ryder was only 16 months old; he had a good time then, but he definitely enjoyed it a lot more this time because he was really aware of all of the animals around him. He seemed to love the turtles the most. He fed some in a small pond and got a kick out of watching one of the huge turtles eating a bowl of lettuce.

Grann let one of the parrots sit on her arm for Ryder to see.

yep--a playground here too!

beautiful green plants everywhere!

feeding the flamingos--Ryder didn't want them to eat out of his hand, but he wasn't shy about standing right in the middle of everything. Most of them were taller than him!

Apparently these fish are used to all of the tourists and their handfuls of food.

trying to eat mulch or seashells or something else off the ground

"Shhhh!"
